The 2023 WXV is the much celebrated first edition of the new women’s group tournament. Ignite proudly brought World Rugby’s vision to life and created the opening title sequence and entire graphics package for this new era of the game.
Our action-based title sequence features game play between stylised players. A punchy, EDM anthem coupled with kinetic camera moves lending the tournament a fresh new point of view to build anticipation and cut through.
The premium tournament that places women at the forefront of rugby was designed to lean into the future of the sport and the graphics, with a vibrant and energetic palette, reflected that.
A dynamic modular match graphics system was created with energetic motion and strong brand colour application to give this global feed a unique look, differentiating it from other sports tournaments.
The brand’s bold energy zig-zag motif was utilised in both title sequence and all match graphic designs reinforcing the WXV brand idea of ‘connected energy’.
Brought to life by Ignite and delivered live by AE Live; ground-breaking stat-driven real-time graphics were combined with live data feeds to enhance every viewers’ enjoyment of every game.
