Studio and Immersive Design

To collaborate with CBS News on their 2024 Election Coverage was a project that the Ignite team were incredibly proud to be a part of. This ambitious project included the creation of a motion graphics system that was legible, functional, dynamic, and seamlessly integrated with real-time polling data.

This was a massive undertaking with deliverables including: studio set extensions, interactive maps, studio AR and immersive graphic systems designed by Ignite working in partnership with our colleagues at Silver Spoon and AE Live.

Our mission was to elevate CBS’s election coverage and keep viewers informed of every moment in this historic US Election. Graphic design cues were informed by the iconic CBS Logo Eye and the aim was to position CBS News in this crowded market as the central hub of all election information.

Our AR set extensions and virtual cameras lent to the scale and pace required to deliver every moment in such a dynamic broadcast covering National, State and Local results.

The opening title sequence featured five, all important, battleground states, travelling across America from West to East. The fast-paced race between Democrats and Republicans, represented by two streaks of luminescent color glass, lead the viewer to a neck and neck chase to the White House itself.
